C64 Indiana Jones Temple of Doom

Ok, I need someone's help here.
I downloaded several different C64 emulators and copies of TOD, but none of them work for me. I even downloaded the copy here at Indyfan, but that one doesn't work. Indyfan himslef said that he played it, but wasn't able to fill Indy's shoes. I e-mailed him a couple of times, but I haven't gotten any responses.
Does anyone out there know how to get the thing working?
