Good question!, maybe Belloq was just trying to discourage Marion from trying to escape.
When I was In Egypt I wasn´t fortunate enough to travel very far into the Sahara desert
but three weeks is probably not overrated when you consider that she would be walking in sand underneath
the burning sun.
