Thus far, only 3 Spielberg films are either already or will soon be available on dvd: The Color Purple, 1941, & Amistad. Saving Private Ryan is rumored to be released at the same time as the sell-through vhs version. I, too, have read rumors that Spielberg isn't excited about dvd. But if anyone has a say in the release of the Indy movies, it's Lucas. I've read other rumors that GL loves dvd, so we can assume it's only a matter of time.

: From what I've read about Spielberg, he hasn't allowed any of his movies to be released on DVD as yet. According to a biography I have, he owns shares or something in another DVD competitor format and is waiting to see how the market develops. But due to the popularity of DVD it can't be too long before we can view digital Indy... I hope.
