It's just the way Ford says it, the expression of faux happiness,
coupled with profanity, expressing what the audience is thinking.

For instance, shooting people isn't exactly funny, but the way
it happens in the film, it's hilarious. (the swordsman) And the
part where Indy is chased by the Hovitos wouldn't be funny in real
life, but it just looks so humorously insane on film...
