: The Wells Lamonts are the "Grips" style, although there seems to be a whole range of "Grips" (my local Walmart carries them) and none look like the original to me. I haven't seen the Midwest 850's so I can't comment.

Wells Lamont has a seperate line of gloves called "grips."
The cardboard label attached to the gloves says Grips.
Please note that these are different from their regular work gloves.
The style number is listed on a black tag inside one of the gloves.
