Between ditching classes and foreign travel there probably wasn't much time for movies (except perhaps a date taken to see "Animal Crackers"...). Possibly Mr. Jones would pass Saturday afternoons watching serials and newsreels, wondering at the crazy adventures those people got themselves into. More likely he would have grown bored with cinema after the development of talkies. But "King Kong" and "The Mummy" must have seemed close to home; however I bet he wasn't first in line for "Gold-Diggers of 1935". Maybe he walked out of "Manhattan Melodrama" during a trip to Chicago and wondered what all of the fuss was about down the block...
