Hey. I always figured Sallah meant the other Arab diggers called
him Bellosh. The diggers probably wouldn't have been introduced
to the leader of the dig and would call Belloq what they thought
the Nazis were calling him. Just my two cents.

p.s. Maybe the Germans were calling him Bellosh because they were
a bunch of jerks and trying to annoy him.
