Yeah, I'd go for it. Take the general education courses first, that way if you decide it's too risky as you learn more about the field you'll be able to transfer somewhere else and still retain most of your credits... just to be on the safe side. I did it in reverse, gone to an engineering school, decided it wasn't for me, and transferred to a flying school... now I feel a lot better about where my life is headed.
