Yes, unfortunatley he partied a little too hard one night. I believe he was on a combination of about 5 or 6 different drugs that night. But listen, there is a band I know of, The Hunger, and they have a pretty cool song dedicated to the memory of River Phoenix. Check it out,'cause the whole C.D. rocks. The lyrics go something like, "The river crested way too high and phoenix was set free". The name of the album is Cinematic Superthug (1998).
