Spielberg felt depressed during the making of Raiders...

Yeah, did you guys know that? As happy as he was he got to do a good project after the disastrous 1941 that nearly destroyed his career (Spielberg refers to this film as 'rehab'), Spielberg felt a little bad that it didn't COMPLETELY reflect something personal and dear to his heart like Close Encounters did.

One night in Tunisia, when Spielberg was sleeping in his tent, feeling very lonely, he made a little imaginary friend to keep him company, that friend was a little alien. His next project was about that, a little movie called E.T., which is, so far his best work. Interesting story, huh?
