I prefered the portrayal of Old Indy in the Dark Horse YIJC comic books, where he looked like a tough, older version of the Indy we know and love. He also didn't have an eye patch. I did not like seeing Indy doddering around, frightening children in museums with his stories or driving monster trucks. The worst bookend ever was to the London 1916 episode, when, in the cheesiest development imaginable, Old Indy just happens to run into Old Liz Hurley at the banquet where he's telling the story. Gimme a break! Some of them worked OK, though. I always wondered why when one of his grandchildren complained about the food being served at Thanksgiving, Indy told him a story of little relevance about acupuncture in China instead of telling him about the time he had to eat chilled monkey brains in India!
