: Can anyone tell me whether or not the wested jacket is like the one in raiders, or the last crusade? The one in last crusade has a bigger collar as well as snaps on the storm flap, while raiders has a smaller collar and no snaps. And I think the one in temple is slightly longer than the other 2 movies. Can anyone tell me which version(raider, temple, last crusade)of the jacket is made by wested? Also are you able to request the movie style you want? Also I believe the lining in raider was satin or silk, and the other films it was cotton. Any info provided is appreciated. Post your reply, or if you want to, e mail me at IndeeJonez@aol.com.
: Thanks for any info you may have
From what Peter Botwright says (see X Marks the Spot), the raiders
jacket is the design used in the Raiders of the Lost Ark. I have a
Wested jacket and it does not have snaps (unlike the jacket in Temple)
and has a cotton lining. I can't tell from watching the movie what kind
of material was used for the lining in Raiders (or the others for that
matter), but I am satisfied my jacket is an authentic Raiders jacket..
the one that began it all!
I hope some of this helps.
P.S. The Disney replica (I have one of those as well... it is also
an excellent copy) has an acetate (silky to the touch) lining in the
sleeves... this allows your shirt sleeve to slip down very easily
without catching on the lining material, unlike the cotton lining from
Wested (but this is hardly an inconvenience of much concern).
