Young Indy and Peacock's Eye - Temple Doom

I've long had a pet theory that the diamond that Remy and Indy are searching for in YOUNG INDY and the TREASURE OF THE PEACOCK'S EYE is the same one that he tries to procure in the opening of INDIANA JONES and the TEMPLE OF DOOM. If you look at the notch on the peacock where the eye used to be, it's roughly the same size and shape of Lao Che's diamond.
