if it weren't for the last crusade, i would have never become interested in WWII aviation (i love that chase scene with the fighters). YIJC made me become interested in the horrors of WWI, and especially trench warfare. and finally, the temple of the forbidden eye ride at disneyland made me aware of the beauty of hindu and buddhist art, and made me try and learn more about those two religions. so,indy has made many things interesting to me, and most importantly, it's made me want to learn about things i might have not been ordinarily interested in. so i guess lucas was getting through to a person or two...:)
