If you look at still shots from the motorcycle chase, you will
indeed see that the seams are lighter in color. This effect is achieved
by lightly sandpapering the seams. The back of the jacket in Crusade
also has a large lighter spot in the middle of the back. This, too,
was either sandpapered or rubbed against a brick wall. Other methods
of artificially aging clothing include repeated washing and drying,
stone tumbling, sandblasting, dyeing, dragging it through rocks and dirt,
and crumpling it up a lot. I'm sure there's many more methods, but
these are the only ones that come to mind.

P.S.- I would let the natural passage of time do the weathering for
you, though. That way you will ensure a rich, natural look,
plus it will have more sentimental value.
