Or was it the other way around? One of his posthumously published books reprints the last radio transmission from the junk; Halliburton says something like "storm coming, all looks good", something fairly jaunty anyway.

Indy's ending could be more prosaic, being institutionalized by his kids and dying in a tragic applesauce accident...
