An observation about "Raiders"

First, folks, sorry about the double post on that last one. Brain fart on my part.
I was thinking about "Raiders" yesterday and something occurred to me that I thought I'd share with you. At the end, Indy actually does the world a disservice by handing the Ark over to the American Military. After he saw what the Ark could do he should have hand delivered it to Hitler. If he had then Hitler would have had his face melted and there would never have been a second world war.

What do you think???

By the way, I'm a little disappointed that most of you didn't respond to my question about how the Ark would have changed Indy. What gives?
