Well maybe they are making an explanation for the diamond Lao Che gave Indy in Temple of Doom on the beginning. The peacock's eye in the museum looks like it could hold Lao Che's diamond so maybe it's a movie about his first search for the diamond. Just like on the beginning of Last Crusade when he went after the Cross of Coronado. It was 1912 he went after it and he finally got it in 1938.
