It seems lighter than a jean jacket, after you have it on for a second you don't even notice it's there. I'd definitely recommend it to anybody who grew up watching Indy, and I don't know if I'll ever take it off.....

The lambskin IS thinner although it doesn't really LOOK thinner. If have a hide jacket with similar lining you can tell by the feel of it in between your fingers. But other than that, you're right- you wouldn't notice, except for the fact that this jacket feels a lot lighter in weight than your typical leather jacket.
