Well he wanted it for immortality and so his army's flesh wounds etc. could heal and stuff like that. But little did he know that it couldn't cross the seal cuz the knight warned me that you know not to take the Grail from there. But the Grail, both the 'Lost Arks' etc. are not "good luck charms" they sacred artifacts!!!! But he took it as pride and invincibility but he didn't know that who he was could make the artifacts have a different effect. And me, being myself, don't believe in luck.
