Yes, the back of the strap is rough leather and the front is darkened and varnished. I don't think that the strap in the movie was quite the same.
Nevertheless it is good quality leather and the buckle makes it
look authentic. I paid £15 pounds Sterling for both the strap and the bag which was a pretty good deal, considering that the strap alone is now about that same price.
Oh yeah that reminds me, one of the bags pictured on the page was found at the back of the garden shed after I had forked out cash paying for the other two, annoying or what!
