Double buckle on bag strap..

I just returned back form an out of town trip and it looks like I missed some interesting conversations, The one about the double buckle on bag strap caught my interest first. I have several pictures from the movies that show both sides of the leather strap in the same picture. It looks to me that there is only one metal buckle on the front of the strap. The back of the strap is attached to the bags metal ring with a some sort of rivet. I also have the picture of Indy fighting in the marketplace in Raiders of the Lost Ark were it shows a buckle on Indy’s back, However if you look closely you can see that he is wearing the bag backwards. The bags flap is pointing inward toward Indy, rather than outward as shown in most of the other scenes.
