About those 10 Commandments . . .

I had a thought during that final scene when Belloq opens the ark. He pulls out sand horrified. Rene laughs at him. And Indy . . . seems to get a sly grin out of it. I think he may have pulled a 'South American Idol' on them. When he captured the Ark in the truck, before heading out to sea, he took out the two tablets and replaced them with an equal weight of sand. Of course, this would assume that HJ Jr. was faithful in the eyes of the Lord, and a man of righteousness (and could open the thing without getting zapped). Just a thought.
