: : If the Indiana Jones movies had been made in a different era, who do you think could have played him? Below I've listed actors from the 1920's to the 1970's who might have made a credible Indy. None of them are as good a choice as Harrison Ford but here they are.

: : 1920's...Douglas Fairbanks
: : 1930's...Tyrone Power
: : 1940's...Humphrey Bogart
: : 1950's...Robert Mitchum
: : 1960's...Sean Connery
: : 1970's...Clint Eastwood

: : What do you think???
: : Who would you choose???

: Hey. Clint Eastwood? God help us all! I can't argue with your other
: choices, however. I'm a big Mitchum fan, and I think he'd have made
: Indy a little darker and more film noir-esque. Bogart might've made
: a better antagonist for a 1940's Indy film, in my humble opinion. Sort
: of a more malevolent Belloq. Just my two cents.

Good list, but my choice would be my favorite-Jimmy Stewart.
