: Here is my version:

: Chapter 18:
: "I'll must be getting some sleep," Elsie said getting up, "Night," as she left and closed the door behind her.

: Kate turned towards the bed as Indy looked at her and said, "Something wrong?"
: "I'm fine," as she unmade the bed. Indy put his hands on her shoulders as she winced and said, "Cut it out."
: "It still hurts?"
: "Very much," as Indy noticed the bruises on her back. He still shuddered at the thought of what Omar did to her. He ran his hands lightly on her back and said, "Does that hurt?"
: "Nope," smiling a bit.
: Indy grinned at her as he brushed her blonde hair to one side and kissed the the back of her neck, "How about that?"
: Kate couldn't resist smiling as she faced him, put her arms around his neck, and said, "Are you trying to seduce me, Dr. Jones?"
: Indy smiled at her and said, "Is it working?"
: "I'll let you know in the morning," smiling as she let go and settled to finish with the bed.
: Indy smiled, turned her around, and said, "Me too," as he pushed each other against the bed and kissed her.
: "Just promise me one thing," Kate said.
: "What's that?"
: "Next year we'll stay in New York and go to the zoo on weekends."
: Indy laughed and nodded as he turned off the light.

If I hadn't recently seen a PBS special on this I wouldn't have understood it either. The Egyptians believed that their image on stone work was viewed by the gods of the afterlife, and therefore all parts of their bodies MUST be able to be viewed. Any part that could not be seen would not go with them to the afterlife, therefore all Eqyptian carvings on walls are in side relief, and never front on as the nose could not be see, and the nose was (get this!) believed to the seat of the soul. Therefore after one pharoah died and the next one took over, the first thing the new leader did was to have the nosed knocked off the statuary of the previous rulers and chisled off the walls so they would wander aimlessly in the afterlife. I ALWAYS wonders why most of the Egyptian statues had their noses knocked off, but otherwise were intact. Now I know. Anyway, that's why the "front view is unavailable" in the cartoon. Regards.
