Which version of the game do you have? If you have the Nintendo version, I've included a few game genie codes. Anyway, to get past the ship level, you have to defeat the captain. If I remember correctly, he won't appear until you defeat all of his crew.

VYONKZGE Infinite energy, you can get trapped in certain areas

For the last four codes, after you finish the level, you go back to Level 1
