: Hi,
: I am going to be ordering a Wested pretty soon, and was wondering how the distressed looked. At Indy Gear, the jacket looks to new to me. I was thinking about having it distressed because it will have that Indy look, and I don't think I will be wearing the jacket in situations where it would distress over time. How do you feel about your descision? Do they still do the Lambskin and stuff, even though they have to put it in the dryer with stones to distress it? Well thanks for reading my post.

I have a picture of a distressed and a new jacket right next to each other for comparison. We will eventually have it up at IndyGear but I have to first find a slide scanner since it is a transparency. My personal recommendation is that you go with the new lambskin and distress it yourself with some 500 grit sandpaper. This will look like the jacket in the films. The pre-distressed version is a completely different and heavier leather.

Cheers,
Abner
