It was a comedy/drama called The Darling Buds of May staring an actor called David Jason who is very versatile and excellent in all his roles, comedy and serious. It was about a large family who lived an idyllic, self-styled life on a farm in Kent in the 1950's and their dodgy dealings.
Ah, the British tabloid press...! Their favourite hobby is to build someone up just to knock them down.
