The Arab scene was originally going to be sight gag, but was left out of the film. As Indy pushes the block out, an Arab, standing nearby, notices something emerging from the tomb and faints. His brief appearance in the film is the only reminder of this scene.

: I was just reading some of the old posts in this site's archives. Did you ever get a satisfactory answer to the Arab laying on the ground next to the Well of the Souls "emergency exit"? 'Cause I always assumed that the large brick Indy pushed out had fallen on him and knocked him out. Make sense?
