I do not doubt what Peter told you... that you can *order* the jacket
with a silk or cotton lining... it just doesn't look like a silk
lining in Raiders. I took a close look at Raiders last night and came
to the conclusion that the lining appears more likely cotton than silk.
While the are not many scenes in which you get a good look at the
in the daylight, you do catch a pretty good glimpse of the lining
while Indy is driving the truck with the ark inside. There are two
shots near the end of the chase sequence where you see a closeup of
Indy driving and the material (though not definitively) looks like
cotton (it doesn't appear to have any shine to it and looks a little
course, not smooth as would silk). Just my perception... maybe others
see it differently.
