First, I don't think Lucas messed up on "The Phantom Menace" at all (I, personally, found it to be the best movie I'd seen in quite some time). Anyway, if George Lucas weren't involved in the next movie, it wouldn't really be "Indiana Jones" (same goes for Steven Spielberg and, especially, Harrison Ford. On TV a younger Indy was fine, but only Harrison Ford can star in "Indiana Jones IV").
