From my WW2 reenactment collecting, I have learned that the original issued trousers did not come with flap pockets on them, but often times guys would have their tailor put them on for them. That's why some have flap pockets and some don't.

Apparently you can get some in most sizes at "Adventure Surplus" for $40 plus $15 shipping. Hope this helps
