: this has always bothered me
: i dont have one or anything but as a kid i's always get a piece of rope and try and swing it across a branch or something and it would never wrap around and stay it would always fall to the ground
: how come the bullwhip wraps around and stays is it just the way it is or what?
It's all physics.
The whip is made of skin which grips better than rope. Plus, it is heavier and it stretches slightly.
Basically rope and whip are made of two different materials: rope is made for roping and whips are made for whipping.
Not sure what else to say unless you want a detailed explanation of the physics behind it.
