While filming the trailer for The Fugitive (or maybe it was part of the film too) Harrison was supposed to run straight for an open place while the camera was filming. Some idiot put something in his way before they shot the scene and he had to dodge the thing. He tore something in his knee or calf or something. So the limp was then visible throughout that films and some of the films to come.
