Which armed forces are you talking about?

I'm curious about the legend you speak of. Was it the Germans?

Personally, I love collecting old military clothing. I think the US Armed forces had some great clothes during WW2 (How did they ever trade in those beautiful browns for the crappy lime-green shirts of today?).

The Brits also had great looking WWI officer's uniforms, and their tropical uniforms from WW2/North Africa were great-looking.

Did you ever notice how the Imperial Bad Guys in Star Wars wore a mixture of German and Japanese uniforms from WW2?
