Wested: New or Pre-Distressed?

I would like to know what others think on this subject. Will the new jacket fade like the old one with time, or is it better to get a pre-distressed model. My Cooper has over the last 10years has faded a great deal due to the pre-aging. Will a Wested do this? Or will it age like a WWII flight jacket? Thoughts anyone?
