: Here is a question that has bothered me for a long time:
: In Raiders of the Lost Ark Indy finds the Ark of the Covenant, and at the end it is in some military warehouse collecting dust in a crate with several thousand other crates.
: In the Last Crusade when Indy and the Nazi girl are exploring the underground cavern looking for the dead knight the girl says, "What's that?" and Indy replies, "The Ark of the Covenant." "Are you sure?"
: "Pretty sure." Now of course Indy would be sure, because he found the thing, but HOW did it get to the underground cavern?

Well, since it was just a drawing on the wall, and the early Christians had been using those catacombs they would have known what it looked like, and probably just drew a drawing on the wall for religious reasons. As I also understood, since the Ark recovery was supposedly a secret military project, and one that Indy couldn't prove that he had recovered because the military or US goverment was not going to confirm it, he may as well just act dumb and make the statement he did concerning how sure he was. Just my spin on the subject at hand. Regards. Michaelson
