My Mom is undergoing chemotherapy for lung cancer, since this past Christmas (she finished radiotherapy a couple months ago). They say the disease in her lungs is waning, and that the lump in her lung is shrinking considerably, but the process itself has been pretty rough on her. In fact, she just came out of the hospital on Monday after getting hit with a nasty strain of flu that's going around Daytona Beach, while her immune system was at an extremely low level (they transfused her with blood that was full of white cells, and several bags of saline to get her sodium levels out of the danger zone). It's not quite as bad as what you're going through, but I completely understand. It's tough stuff to deal with, especially when you have to be the responsible child. Anyway, Tessa -- try to take it easy, all right? :)
