Fortune hunters

So we know that this forum is haven for writers of adventure fiction. But what about adventure fact? Do we have any fledgling archaeologists (with field experience) or good old fasioned treasure hunters in our midst?
Maybe we should pool our collective wits and find some great but forgotten piece of treasure or folklore that is a little closer to home than some of the exotic locales to which Indy goes.
