The Mummy 2

It was reported today at the Cinescape website that it's very likely that the sequel to The Mummy may appear in theaters as soon as summer of 2001.

Granted, The Mummy was an enjoyable movie (although nowhere near as good as any of the Indy movies)... but won't having similiar style movies playing at the same time hurt Indy IV, if Indy IV does come out in summer of 2001. Or worse, will The Mummy 2 force Indy IV to be released later (like 2002 or 2003)?
