: : My post of yesterday apparently got caught in the middle of the forum changeout, and is now sitting in the vault with no access for reply. If anyone has any thoughts or theories to my question, I'd really be interested in hearing from you. I'd like to know if there was a method to the madness. My post of 11/11 is titled the same. Regards.

: My guess is that Rob MacGregor was partial to (or only knew of) Indy's Webley from Crusade. He then wrote a tid bit about how he got it and the other authors, not being huge Indy fans, probably stuck with what they read from MacGregor. Logical assumption?

Hate to say it, but as simple as it appears, I have to agree with you. Doesn't make much sense, though. Even though the Webley is a FINE weapon, it isn't one that an individual American of the 1930's would have selected as a side arm, considering Webley's weren't available here, and Colt ruled the world, according to all accounts. Oh well, I'll stick with the original, thank you. Appreciate your input. Regards.
