Bottom line to the sub thing

From the first time I saw it, to many numerous viewing since, I have groaned at the whole sub thing. There is NO way in hell that sub would go that far without submerging, if only for a simple drill. And they would have gone below periscope depth. That would have been it for our old pal Indy.

My solution is to enjoy the movie and forget about that part.
