: Cause there is no way in hell I'd wear a leather coat in the damn desert. Danno

I don't know. I spent four months in the Saudi and Iraqi deserts during the winter and I can honestly say a leather jacket would have been much appreciated. It was damn freezing! I was attached to a French aviation regiment to help call in U.S. medevacs and all the French helicopter pilots wore black leather jackets. They were all worn down by the sand, looked great. I offered everything except my rifle to trade for one of those jackets but they would rather give up their wives then part with their jackets.

Also, check out the movie, "The English Patient". There's a scene where the survey team members are in the desert and one of the pilots is wearing a leather jacket, white shirt, khaki shorts and boots. My girlfriend swooned seeing that guy dressed up like that. -MP
