Mine had a loose drape over my body, not tight at all. Sleeve length with arms at my side were about mid back of hand, being exact wrist length with raised arms. My side buckles were only pulled halfway to tighten, and I have room to expand should I wear any heavy sweaters (heaven forbid expansion from any other mid body reasons, such as stomach!!)Sounds like your coat is perfect.
