Hats off to...

I know that Indy's hat is considered a signature part of his character... But has anyone really stopped to consider that in the 1930's wearing a hat was no big deal? Everyone did it and the fedora style was immensely popular. (Including Toht and some of the other Nazis in Raiders)
No wonder we see Indy wearing a different hat at the end of Raiders...he probably owns several, and none of them are his lucky hat, bequeathed to him by the Fedora adventurer at the beginnning of Last Crusade.
It has been said before, but did we really need to learn that all of Indy's little trademarks were the result of that one little adventure?
