one way is to measure from the center of your neck across the top of your sholder to your elbow go behind your elbow and down the out side of the arm. the elbow must be bent at a 90 degree angle measure to the base of your wrist. the second way is from the top of your sholder to the elbow which is bent at a 90 degree angle to the base of your wrist. It is important to have your arm bent to make the measurement work.

that is how I measured mine(Iadded an extra 1/2 inch to make sure)
but the best way is to go to a professional taylor and be measured.
