WHy didn't he dump the "Indiana Jones" in the title and make it:

RAIDERS of the Lost Ark

RAIDERS of the Temple of Doom

RAIDERS of the Holy Grail

RAIDERS of the Film Title

Of course it matters! Don't dismiss this as just some kind of wimpsical expression by Lucas. This will go down in history. Watch the proverbial hitting the fan when these films are re-released. And watch the collectable traders cashing in on the old Raiders title. You'll pay twice the price for something now because "Raiders" was the old name and any new merchandise will be issued with the new title.

ANd forget about applause - they're NOT issuing any new Indy stuff. There's old movies being re-released, there's a game and there's a Japanese unlicenced doll out of reach of most. That's it.

I'm telling you, watch this space...

No apologies if this seems a negative but the truth is - Indy is being left behind a LOT by Lucas and Co. Star Wars was finished at one point and they STILL put out tonnes of merchandise and umpteen video re-releases, etc, etc, etc... It was kept alive. That's why there was so mch interest in the Special Editions and the new movie.

And I read recently that Spielberg is to make a new TV mini-series which will take a few years to do in addition to other work commitments. And the article reported that a new Indy movie would be expected around 2005.
