Well, in the case of the "Star Wars" changes to the movies themselves would be unecessary (or, further changes, in the case of the original) because the complete titles for all four movies match ("Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace", "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope" etc.). They'd just have to change the boxes (unlike what is going on with "Raiders..." where the actual opening credits in the movie are being changed).
