The Raiders scene

Hey,ppl! There was a scene in Raiders Of The Lost Ark when Indy was thrown out of the truck by a bad guy and was clinging onto the front of the truck, right? Then he went under the truck and tried to get back into it. My sister and I were wondering how his pants didn't get any tears or rips caused by the friction when the truck was moving. It seemed a little impossible to me. Anybody got an explanation?
