Interestingly there was a half-hour television special on the ride when it first opened. John Rhys Davies played Sallah and you see someone (not H. Ford) dressed as Indy entering into the temple upon its discovery. That part of the special was filmed like an old newsreel from the 30's and 40's. Karen Allen was in it as well. In fact, in the second chapter of my story, Serpent of Evil, I make reference to the newsreel footage. It was pretty cool.
